Expansion & acquisition
Expansion restarted in the 1950s and by 1961 the number of shops had grown to eleven. By the early seventies, a chain of sports shops, under the name of Henderson Sports were introduced, followed in 1973 with the acquisition of Marcus Stores Limited, adding another 15 branches under the control of the group. By 1975, Millets was trading from 54 units.
